Event Description: Clinical Pearls are bits of clinically helpful information that are usually gained from experiences or observations. They are easily digestible, immediately usable, and are not always found in a book. This presentation will focus on a number of clinical pearls learned “the hard way” so that you don’t have to. Both the new IDD supporter and the seasoned one will find tips and observations in this discussion that will be of help in their support of people with IDD. The talk will include discussions on topics such as quality of life, end-of-life issues, abuse and neglect, the Fatal Five, behaviors, and many more.
