Title: Vice President of Development and Communications
Responsible to: President/CEO
Status: Exempt
Duration: Full-time. Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm
Objective: Under direction of the President/CEO, plan, organize, direct and coordinate fundraising, public relations and marketing for Empowering Abilities.
The Vice President of Development and Communications will be responsible for:
Leads the development of public relations materials, including newsletters, social media, Annual Reports, etc.
Identifies and cultivates contributors and coordinates fund drives for special projects and the endowment.
Organizes direct mail campaigns to reach potential contributors.
Assists with planning and coordinating special events, such as banquets, fundraising events, etc.
Researches public and private grant agencies and foundations to identify other sources of funding and prepares grants for submission.
Maintains records of contributors and grants and ensures letters of appreciation and other stewardship are provided to all contributors.
Qualifications include:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required
Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in fundraising and/or executive level management required
Possess current and valid driver's license and auto insurance, and maintain a good driving record.
Ability to meet employment requirements (i.e. health screening, Driving Record, TB test)
