If you want to join a movement of passionate people making a difference, the LSI Services for People with Disabilities team wants YOU. We're seeking a Service Coordinator to oversee our Ames-based 24-hour Site-Based and Hourly Supported Community Living (SCL) Services in Ames.

The Service Coordinator is an administrative position that oversees Daily SCL and Hourly SCL services in the Ames area. Your direct supports are Program Supervisors. The Service Coordinator is responsible for ensuring services delivery provides support, assistance, and instruction in areas that facilitate personal growth and independence for our clients. The Service Coordinator is responsible for operating within budget, managing schedules, and ensuring compliance with state, federal, and accreditation agencies.

This position requires typical business hours with some flexibility in schedule. The position may require long hours including some evenings and weekends to ensure the safety and satisfaction of the individuals we serve. You may be asked to participate in an on-call rotation which may limit ability to travel outside a geographic area during those times.


The annual salary range for this position is between $35,000 and $45,000, depending upon experience.

Qualified applicants will have a Bachelor's degree in health or human service related field or education, as well as, three years experience in human services, (disabilities or mental health preferred); plus two years of supervisory experience. A Master's degree is preferred, but not required.

This position requires a valid driver's license, auto insurance, a good driving record, and the ability to pass an extensive background check, including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, sex offender registry, and a criminal history check.
