The Arc of East Central Iowa is a non-profit agency that supports over 800 individuals with intellectual disabilities. For over 60 years families have depended on The Arc to provide services and supports to promote inclusion in their communities. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who wants to play a key role in fulfilling our mission of enhancing the lives of those we serve.

Position Title: Director of Adult Services - Full Time Benefit Eligible Position

Position Responsibilities:
•Responsible for overall operational success of adult services programs, including Day Habilitation, Supported Employment and Project SEARCH
•Plan the delivery of the departments programs and activities in accordance with The Arc’s mission, goals, policies and procedures
•Assure full compliance with all regulatory agencies and professional standards, including CARF
•Evaluate the skill, experience, performance and professional development needs of staff
•Budget preparation and management
•Quality control to ensure success of the programs
•Possess a commitment to the belief that all people have the right to dignity, respect, opportunity, and full community inclusion, and the belief that the community is the first choice for work, living, and recreation
•Represent The Arc in collaboration with regional organizations as a way to develop innovative projects that support community inclusion
•Provides organizational leadership as a member of the Senior Management Team

Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in business, human services or public administration or related discipline
•Minimum of 5 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities in a management position
•Measurable experience in program development consisting of multiple stakeholders and upper level management in private, government, or nonprofit sector
•Strong leadership skills and commitment to programming over the long term, as well as the knowledge and ability to deliver data-driven results
•Experience with regulatory agencies such as CARF, Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services, Iowa Department of Human Services and Home and Community Based waivers
•Active Certified Employment Support Professional preferred, or ability to obtain within one year
•Capability to help build strategic partnerships regionally and statewide
•Experience working within a high-performance, collaborative, constructive peer group
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•MS Office and Windows proficiency
