IACP's Grant: Technology in the Heartland - Ensuring Iowans Experiencing Disability Are Not Left Behind Purpose: To increase awareness of the Declaration across the state of Iowa in both the self-advocacy and provider communities. It will also help to further address needs identified in our technology needs assessment and seed promising practices in service provider agencies. These activities will set the base for a strong effort to ensure the infusion of technology in the everyday lives of Iowans who experience cognitive disability. Webinar Recordings Technology: The Coleman Institute and Declaration of the Right of People with Cognitive Disabilities to Technology: Learn about the declaration of The Rights of People with Cognitive Disabilities to Technology and Information Access. Participants will leave understanding the declaration, IACP’s project in spreading awareness and next steps. Member-Focused Technology for HCBS Services: Duane Temple of Night Owl Support Services will walk participants through technology to increase the independence of people served and to supplement staff intervention in service delivery.
